Primary Responsibilities:
The position is responsible for gathering, analyzing and disseminating financial information in the company. Perform and/or oversee strategic, broad-impact financial analysis, reporting, and systems development. Lead and coordinate the design and implementation of financial/accounting reporting systems. Develop and deliver financial and business training programs, as appropriate. Prepare other various analyses as required. Provide support to Senior Director of Finance for various projects. Essential Functions:
- Support and participate in food safety programs including SQF (Safe Quality Food).

Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts etc).

Prepare P&L’s on a regular basis.

Prepare monthly executive financial package.

Assist with preparation of Budgets.

Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis.

Develop financial forecasts.

Produce and present ‘ad hoc’ reports for decision-makers.

Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives.

Consult with management to guide and influence long term and strategic decision making.
- Prepare regulatory documents as required.

Conduct financial monitoring in order to assess the financial impacts for the company.

Other duties and special projects as requested.
Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude:
- Post-secondary business degree and recent certification or working towards a professional accounting designation

Minimum of three (3) years progressive experience in finance

Strong knowledge of computer systems – preferred SAP S/4HANA, Cognos. Must be proficient with MS Office (Advanced skills in Excel and macros)

Thorough understanding of general accounting principles

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail are required. Ability to compile, analyze, interpret, and present financial data
- High energy level, comfortable performing multi-faceted tasks in conjunction with day-to-day activities

Strong time management, interpersonal and communication skills required

Self-motivated individual with proven track record of strategic planning and effective implementation

Experience in grocery and/or distribution industry an asset
The base compensation range for this role is $68,000 CAD - $102,000 CAD. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
