We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Full-Time Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, support our dentists during clinical procedures, and contribute to the smooth operation of our busy inner-city practice.
Experience with Cleardent dental software is considered an asset but is not required. We welcome both experienced dental assistants and new graduates who are eager to learn and grow within a supportive environment.
This position requires flexibility to work daytime, evening, and weekend shifts. The regular schedule will be Tuesday through Saturday.
Wage will be based on experience and knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Assist multiple dentists confidently during a variety of dental procedures. Such as Fillings, Root Canals, Extractions, Implant placement and Itero Scanning
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and ready for use.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental practice management software, including Cleardent.
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort throughout treatment.
- Follow all infection prevention and control protocols, sterilization procedures, and workplace safety standards.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide post-treatment care instructions.
- Support the dental team in maintaining an efficient and welcoming clinic environment.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in Alberta.
- Previous dental assisting experience is an asset but not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilization procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with digital radiography and CAD/CAM technology is considered an asset.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends.
