THE JOB: Senior Insurance Coordinator
The starting salary range falls within the minimum to mid-point of the salary range.
Starting Salary Range: $63,600 - $79,500
Reporting to the Manager, Advisory Services, the Senior Insurance Coordinator is responsible for providing advanced client service, application coordination, and sales support to physician members and their families throughout the insurance planning and application process. Acting as a key liaison between clients, Insurance Advisors, insurance carriers, and internal stakeholders, this role supports the successful implementation of insurance recommendations by meeting with clients via Zoom to complete applications, explaining recommendations and underwriting processes, and guiding applicants through complex, often sensitive insurance requirements. The Senior Insurance Coordinator plays a critical role in delivering a positive client experience by building trusted relationships, responding to inquiries with professionalism and empathy, and ensuring clients understand next steps, timelines, and requirements throughout the application process.
The Senior Insurance Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and advancing insurance applications from submission through policy placement, ensuring cases progress efficiently and in accordance with service standards and advisor recommendations. This role proactively follows up with insurers, clients, and stakeholders to resolve issues, obtain outstanding documentation, and prevent delays. In addition, the role supports business development activities by promoting insurance services, engaging with physician members, and encouraging appointments with Insurance Advisors. Success in this role requires strong relationship management, attention to detail, sales and service orientation, and the ability to communicate complex insurance concepts with confidence, diplomacy, and tact while maintaining a high standard of client care and operational excellence.

WHAT YOU BRING
- One year of experience in financial/insurance marketing assistant or sales role, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of individual life insurance and living benefits; able to explain advisor recommendations and solutions.
- Must be licensed to sell Life and Accident & Sickness insurance in BC; CHS, GBA, CFP or CLU designations are an asset.
- Excellent communication skills,
- Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with peers and multiple partner groups, accessing guidance only when critically required.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, and a strong track record of balancing priorities and meeting multiple deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated proficiency with web-based applications, such as Insurance Carrier e-application and advisor portal sites.
- Experience with CRM Salesforce is an asset.
