Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organized Part-Time Auto Service Advisor to join our team at Canadian Tire in Cochrane, Alberta. As the primary point of contact between our customers and the service department, you will play a critical role in ensuring a seamless experience through expert communication, accurate documentation, and a commitment to customer satisfaction in a fast-paced retail automotive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Excellence & Communication
- Expert Consultation: Act as the vital link between customers and the service bay, explaining maintenance requirements and repair recommendations in clear, understandable terms.
- Multi-Channel Communication: Manage high-volume inquiries both in-person and over the phone with a professional and helpful etiquette.
- Vendor Relations: Coordinate with parts vendors to source and ensure the timely arrival of components necessary for shop repairs.
Operational Precision
- Accurate Estimating: Utilize superior attention to detail to provide customers with precise quotes, ensuring all parts and labor costs are accurately reflected.
- Service Coordination: Maintain constant communication with mechanics and technicians to monitor vehicle progress and provide customers with real-time updates.
- Data Integrity: Meticulously record vehicle specifications and specific customer requests to ensure the shop team delivers exactly what the client needs.
Safety & Efficiency
- Workflow Management: Balance the needs of the service desk to ensure a smooth flow of traffic and maximize shop productivity.
- Compliance: Adhere to all store safety protocols and operational standards to maintain a professional and secure work environment.
What You Bring
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to build rapport with customers and technical staff alike.
- Industry Knowledge: Previous experience or a strong understanding of vehicle components, automotive parts, and general shop operations is preferred.
- Detail-Oriented: A sharp eye for detail to prevent errors in quoting, parts ordering, and vehicle documentation.
- Problem-Solving: The ability to handle a fast-paced environment and resolve customer concerns with a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
- Reliability: A commitment to fulfilling a part-time schedule with a high level of punctuality and initiative.
Schedule & Availability
- Hours: Part-time, approximately 20 - 25 hours per week.
- Flexibility: Full availability is required for this role, with a primary focus on evenings and weekends up until 10PM.
