Position Overview
We are seeking a Hydrovac Swamper to support our Operators in the field. The successful candidate will assist with all aspects of hydrovac excavation, including safe set-up, hose handling, site clean-up, and general labor tasks. This is a physically demanding role that requires teamwork, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Hydrovac Operator with hydrovac excavation and daylighting tasks.
- Handle hoses, guide the operator, and ensure safe excavation around utilities.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite.
- Perform general labor duties such as shoveling, raking, and spotting.
- Follow all company, client, and industry safety procedures.
- Support daily maintenance and inspections of equipment.
- Communicate effectively with the Operator, clients, and team members.
Qualifications
- Previous construction, labor, or hydrovac experience an asset (training provided).
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in all weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude.
- Safety-oriented with knowledge of safe work practices.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime when required.

Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
