Elk Island Public Schools is recruiting a part-time (0.65 FTE) Senior High Core teacher at Next Step Sherwood Park. The assignment involves teaching core classes to highly at-risk youth who require one on one support. The ideal candidate is highly organized and strong at building supportive relationships with at-risk youth. A passion for personalized education and the ability to thrive in a dynamic student-focused environment is essential. Successful candidate must have experience with multiple grade levels and cross curricular learning with Math, Science, ELA , and Social Studies. Position may involve teaching French as a second language. Must have strong technical proficiency with Google Classroom.
Next Step Sherwood
Park provides flexible outreach programming for grades 8 to 12 students with 11
teaching staff and three support staff. The school is located in Sherwood Park,
AB.
