We are a growing virtual bookkeeping firm with some onsite client components, looking for a motivated Bookkeeper to join our team full time (40 hours per week). This role starts as a hybrid position (remote and onsite at client locations), with the long-term goal of transitioning into a more full-time onsite client presence.
Responsibilities
- Full-cycle bookkeeping including AP, AR, payroll, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare HST returns, financial reports, and year-end working papers
- Maintain accurate financial records for multiple clients
- Communicate directly with clients and support their bookkeeping needs
- Use AI tools and technology to improve efficiency and reporting
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of full-cycle bookkeeping experience
- Experience with QuickBooks Online, Sage, or similar bookkeeping software
- Knowledge of payroll, HST filings, and reconciliations
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients/tasks
- Employee will need to join CPB Canada (Canadian Professional Bookkeepers of Canada) and achieve the CPB designation within 6 months of hire
- The firm will fully cover the costs of the CPB designation
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license required
