We are looking for a skilled cook with leadership qualities to join our amazing team. Hours will start as flexible but expect to grow to 40/week quickly as our retail sales jump up mid summer.
The right candidate will support our Chef/Owner in prep kitchen and Retail production/packing and shipping. Invoicing will also be trained via quickbooks. We produce frozen meals, soups and spiced pecans that are sold locally and going into several grocery stores throughout southern BC
Additional duties will include;
Inventories, prep list management, par levels, staff training, off site community events (tastings), temperature checks, liase with Health Inspector and more. On days where there is no orders to produce, will support prep list for bistro, cleaning, product development etc.
Must have relible transportation if not living local, be committed to working a full time schedule and bring a positive attitude to a thriving environment. You must also have a valid Food Safe permit and basic understanding of HACCP.
Drivers license is a bonus as we have a second kitchen in Langley with company vehicle for transport.
