Wonder Box (https://thewonderbox.ca/) provides STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) activities and programs for schools, families and camps. We're looking for outgoing, enthusiastic Camp Facilitators to lead exciting STEAM activities at camps across the GTA this summer.
At Wonder Box learning = fun! We create custom-made, hands-on activities that bring STEAM to life. Our programs are offered to summer camps, where we facilitate sessions for campers aged 4-14. As a Camp Facilitator, you’ll be the one delivering the magic.
What you'll do:
- Deliver programming at partner camps throughout the Greater Toronto Area
- Lead engaging, hands-on STEAM activities for kids aged 4–13
- Bring energy, creativity, and leadership to every session
- Ensure all kids are included, engaged, and having a blast
- Represent Wonder Box as a fun, professional, and reliable team member
We provide the necessary training to familiarize you with each of the activities and provide all materials for the activities.
Requirements:
- An outgoing, cheerful and energetic personality
- Experience working with and leading groups of children aged 4-12 years (camps, schools, tutoring, clubs, after-school programs and volunteering all count towards experience)
- The ability to confidently lead engaging sessions, build excitement and capture the attention of groups of 10-25 children
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with children of various ages
- Must have your own reliable transport to be able to travel to the camp locations in GTA
- Completion or enrolment in an education program is an asset (B.Ed/E.C.E)
- Must have an up to date CPR certification and vulnerable sector clearance
Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 2 months
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
