The ideal candidate is:
Reliable & Punctual: You show up on time, every time. You understand that when you don't show up, it hurts the whole team and the client.
Detail-Oriented: You know that a flawless paint job is 80% preparation. You don't rush the masking, caulking, or sanding.
Experienced but Coachable: You bring at least 2 years of painting experience to the table, but you are open to learning our specific high-quality methods and standards.
Organized & Respectful: You keep your workspace clean, maintain tools properly, and treat clients' homes with the utmost respect.
Key Responsibilities
Site Setup: Safe ladder setup, tool and machinery placement, and drop sheet layouts.
Surface Preparation: Meticulous prep work including plaster applications, sanding, caulking, scraping, cleaning, and plastic masking for spray applications.
Application: High-quality brush, roll, and spray applications on interior and exterior surfaces.
Site Maintenance: Daily cleanup, proper tool storage (brushes, rollers, sprayers), and workshop maintenance.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional painting experience is required.
Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to get to various job sites across Thunder Bay.
Physical Stamina: Ability to work on ladders, handle heavy equipment, and perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
Work Ethic: Strong time management skills and a proven track record of reliability.
