Neurodivergent Counsellor
Hello! My name is August and I am looking for someone to join our counselling group practice where we support the neurodivergent community. We are rooted in the idea that neurodivergent lived experiences help us meet the client where they are at, build trust quickly, and help us serve this beautiful community hollistically. I want to learn about your passions and life experiences so that I can connect you with clients that have the likelihood of blossoming into smashing therapeutic relationships. About Position:
- one year renewable contract
- $60-$75 per session
- 10-20 session per week
- Remote work or hybrid work available (office located downtown)
- clientele demographic: neurodivergent individuals (ADHD, autism, dyslexia, etc) and relationships, queer people, adults, teens
Seeking Someone Who:
- carries a masters degree in a counselling related field
- is queer-welcoming and trauma-informed
- has a genuine interest in supporting neurodivergent clients
- maintains professional registration in good standing (ex: BCACC, BCCSW)
- possesses malpractice insurance
- is able to describe their therapeutic approach in an interview
- is able to describe their relationship to neurodiversity in an interview
- bonus, not necessary: interest in working with OCD and/or teens, willing to work weekends, EMDR or ERP certification, experience with Jane App
Position Duties:
- facilitate counselling sessions (2-4 days/wk, 10-20 sessions/wk)
- maintain client confidentiality at all times
- document session notes & bill clients via Jane App
- participate in consultation calls with prospective clients
- communicate promptly with clients and staff via email
- maintain organized records of monthly settlements
- write a professional bio for the website
- engage in regular staff meetings (open to accommodations!)

Pay: $60.00-$77.50 per hour
Education:
- Master's Degree (preferred)
