Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport grain, hay & straw bales, & feed within Alberta. All trucks are home majority of nights. This role offers an opportunity to work in the agricultural sector, and be part of a farming environment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Ability to throw straps over large loads, and secure load properly
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate driver logs and documentation for each trip
- Communicate effectively with dispatcher, and clients regarding delivery schedules and issues
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle operability
Skills
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as tractors and other Ag machinery an asset, but not required
- Ability to put on tire chains
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Basic mechanic skills for troubleshooting vehicle issues on the road
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently under deadlines
This position is essential for ensuring the smooth transportation of ag commodities, while maintaining safety, efficiency and customer service standards.

Pay: $30.00-$37.00 per hour
