About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Head of People Operations to lead the development and implementation of people processes, policies, and compliance initiatives across our organization.
This role is ideal for a results-oriented HR professional who enjoys building structure, driving accountability, and implementing practical solutions in a growing operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, audit, and implement employment contracts across the organization
- Design and implement a structured onboarding program for new hires
- Develop and roll out mandatory compliance and operational training programs
- Ensure organizational compliance with Ontario employment legislation and employment standards
- Create, update, and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Identify gaps in current people processes and implement sustainable solutions
- Partner with leadership to improve employee accountability, performance, and operational effectiveness
- Support HR compliance, documentation, and employee relations initiatives as required
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Ontario Employment Standards Act (ESA) and employment legislation
- Proven experience building HR infrastructure, policies, and programs in a growing or operational environment
- Experience drafting and implementing employment contracts, policies, and procedures
- Strong project management and execution skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to drive initiatives from planning through implementation
Position Details
- Full-time (40 hours per week)
- Contract position (3–6 months), with potential for extension
- On-site presence required
