Job Title: Forklift Operator
Job Description
The Material Handler receives products, picks orders in the warehouse, and ensures a steady flow of materials to the production lines. This role uses RF scanners in a clean, well-organized pharmaceutical environment and combines approximately 30% forklift operation with 70% manual warehouse duties, including frequent labeling and handling of boxes up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities

Receive incoming products and verify accuracy of deliveries.

Load and unload trucks using a forklift when products are on pallets, and manually move boxes by hand weighing up to 50 lbs when required.

Apply identification labels and barcodes to cases and individual boxes at the point of receipt, including applying up to 200 labels on a pallet and 100–300 labels per day on individual boxes.

Pick orders accurately using RF scanners and prepare products for delivery to production lines and internal customers.

Ensure product flows continuously and efficiently from the warehouse to the production lines and other internal departments.
Essential Skills

Minimum 1 year of experience in material handling in a warehouse environment.

Proven experience performing manual warehouse work, including lifting and moving boxes up to 50 lbs.

Experience operating forklifts, including electric counterbalance and electric walkie equipment, with valid certification where required.

Ability to work with RF scanners for picking and tracking inventory.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Prior experience in a pharmaceutical warehouse or production support environment.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks across different buildings or areas.

Comfort working both indoors and outdoors when moving materials between buildings.

Reliability and punctuality to support a fixed daytime shift schedule.
Work Environment
You work in a clean, well-lit pharmaceutical environment that is fast paced and driven by strict GMP standards and SOPs. The role is based on a regular daytime shift from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, for a total of 37.5 hours per week. You use RF scanners, forklifts (including electric and propane counterbalance, reach trucks, and electric walkies), and other standard warehouse equipment. Duties involve a mix of indoor warehouse activities and occasional movement of pallets and materials outside between buildings on the campus. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and compliance, providing a structured and professional setting for daily work.
