Responsibilities:
- Assist optometrists with patient care, including pre-testing and documentation
- Perform visual field tests, imaging and scans, and other diagnostic procedures and treatments.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and organized
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering questions and addressing concerns
- Process insurance claims and verify patient information
Other administrative and optometric duties as required. Must be available days, evenings and weekends.
Experience:
- Previous experience working in an optometric, aesthetics or medical office preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to eye care
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, such as EVC
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with patients of all ages
- Experience working at the front desk of a medical environment is beneficial
