PRIMARY FUNCTION: Perform duties in a safe manner with focus on accident prevention. With supervision, operate previously set-up CNC machines and offline equipment to machine quality parts.
DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND WORK PROCEDURES:
Ø Maintain work area in a clean, safe and orderly manner by ensuring 5S of your work station
Ø Follow all procedures and responsibilities accurately completing appropriate paperwork
Ø Identify irregularities in parts and non conformance to quality standards
Ø Check own parts to inspection sheets
Ø Operate a previously set up machine to machine parts
Ø Adjust offsets to machinery and change inserts, once trained on assigned machines
Ø Communicate within work groups
Ø Work within or exceed time production standards
Ø Assist with other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Ø Prior experience as an Operator running CNC mills and/or lathes a definite asset
Ø Must be able to follow verbal and written direction as well as communicate concerns to supervisor
Ø Ability to accurately use various measuring instruments (verniers and micrometers) to work within tight tolerance
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Ø Standing for much of shift

Ø Continually exposed to various lubricants and metal working fluids
Flexibility to work overtime on short notice
