Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Safety and Compliance Manager to oversee and enhance our organization's safety protocols and regulatory adherence. This role is vital in fostering a safe working environment across our manufacturing facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and promoting a culture of continuous safety improvement. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, experience in manufacturing environments, and a passion for training and development initiatives to elevate safety practices company-wide.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies and procedures aligned with industry regulations and best practices.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant standards.
- Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Coordinate and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels, fostering a culture of safety awareness.
- Monitor safety performance metrics, prepare reports, and present findings to senior management for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety considerations into operational processes and projects.
- Stay current on evolving safety regulations and industry trends to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Promote employee engagement in safety programs through communication, recognition, and ongoing education.
Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of industrial safety standards.
- Demonstrated success in developing and delivering effective training & development programs related to safety.
- Prior experience in managing compliance initiatives within a regulated industry is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence organizational culture towards safety excellence.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging diverse teams and delivering impactful training sessions.
- Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA certifications, or equivalent are highly desirable.
