Job Overview
Forest Grove Preschool Academy of Arts and Technology is seeking a dependable, organized, and energetic team member to join our childcare centre as a Kitchen Prep & School Age Driver.
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., combining kitchen responsibilities with transporting school-age children safely to and from local schools.
Location: 2275 Westoak Trails Blvd, Oakville, ON L6M 3W6
Responsibilities
Kitchen Preparation
- Prepare and portion nutritious morning snacks, lunches, and afternoon snacks for children.
- Follow all food safety, allergy, and sanitation procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen.
- Wash dishes and assist with kitchen clean-up.
- Monitor food inventory and advise management when supplies need replenishing.
School Age Transportation
- Safely transport school-age children to and from local schools using the centre's vehicle.
- Complete daily vehicle safety inspections.
- Ensure children's safety during loading, unloading, and transportation.
- Follow all childcare transportation policies and Ministry requirements.
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Class G driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable driving a childcare centre vehicle.
- Food Handler Certification is an asset.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check (or ability to obtain before employment).
- Reliable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
