Overview
A leading organization is seeking an experienced IFRS 9 / Moody’s Investment Accounting Consultant (Contract) to support a high-priority compliance and reporting initiative across multiple subsidiaries. This role will operate at the intersection of external advisors, system providers, and internal finance teams , ensuring accurate implementation and reporting under IFRS 9.
Reporting directly to senior finance leadership, this position requires a blend of technical accounting, investment accounting, systems knowledge, and project coordination experience .
Key Responsibilities
Support IFRS 9 compliance and reporting , including impairment and Expected Credit Loss (ECL) calculations
Act as a key liaison between external advisors, Moody’s Analytics, and internal stakeholders
Assist with Moody’s Analytics implementation , including Impairment Studio
Review and validate financial reporting outputs , ensuring accuracy and completeness
Provide oversight across systems, data flows, and reporting processes
Support investment accounting activities , including analysis and reporting of financial instruments
Coordinate deliverables across stakeholders to ensure timelines and requirements are met
Identify and resolve issues related to data, models, and reporting outputs
Qualifications
CPA designation required ; Big 4 background strongly preferred
Proven experience with IFRS 9 (impairment, ECL, financial instruments)
Hands-on experience with Moody’s Analytics / Impairment Studio preferred
Strong investment accounting experience , including valuation and reporting of financial assets
Background in structured finance, financial reporting, or advisory environments
Experience supporting system implementations or finance transformation projects
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment
