Music and Drama Educator
Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and engaging Music and Drama Educator to inspire young learners through creative arts. This role involves designing and delivering dynamic lessons in music, drama, and teaching private piano lessons to children of various ages. The ideal candidate will foster a love for the arts, support early childhood development, and create a positive learning environment that encourages self-expression and confidence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate music and drama curricula tailored to early childhood education standards
- Conduct engaging lessons that incorporate singing, acting, improvisation, and movement
- Foster a supportive environment that encourages creativity, self-expression, and teamwork among children
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support individual growth
- Collaborate with parents, staff, and other educators to ensure a cohesive educational approach
- Maintain a safe, organized classroom environment conducive to active participation and learning
- Plan special performances or showcases to highlight student achievements in music and drama
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in educational or extracurricular setting
- Background in teaching music, drama, or early childhood education
- Experience in playing piano ( 5 years or more experience)
- Strong classroom experience with the ability to manage group dynamics effectively
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and age-appropriate teaching strategies
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire young learners
- Creative mindset with a passion for arts education and fostering student confidence
