Job Overview
As a Cook/Kitchen Hand, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and that our guests enjoy delicious, quality meals. This position requires attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with other members of the team
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high quality and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food storage and sanitation practices.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the health and safety of guests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during meal preparation.
- Help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred not required.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Familiarity with food handling regulations and food safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
