Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with Montessori principles.
- Create a welcoming and safe classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Assess and monitor children's progress, providing feedback to parents as needed.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to promote a collaborative community.
- Support children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education services.
- Maintain classroom organization and manage daily schedules effectively.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and share resources.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (mandatory).
- Proven experience working with young children in an educational setting (mandatory).
- Strong understanding of Montessori methods and philosophy (preferred).
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is an asset (preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (somewhat).
- Leadership experience or potential (somewhat).
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively (somewhat).
