Job Summary
Experienced workers needed: Telehandler operators, Mason tending(mixing mortar, scaffolding setup, material handling), concrete workers, demolition workers
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Construction Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and a passion for building and construction. This role involves working on various construction sites, assisting in the completion of projects, and ensuring that all tasks are performed safely and efficiently.
Base rate plus an additional 10% vacation pay paid weekly. Employer pension contributions. Blue Cross benefits package.
Must have valid drivers license and method of transportation.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the construction and assembly of structures
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently as required.
- Perform concrete finishing tasks
- Concrete formwork, including form stripping
- Erection and dismantling of scaffolding
- Mixing mortar, providing materials to masons. Cutting concrete, block or stone
- Utilize power tools for various construction tasks, including cutting, drilling, and fastening materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety on-site.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks during construction activities.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to quality standards.
Experience
- Previous experience in construction or a related field
- Experience with concrete finishing or concrete formwork is advantageous.
- Experience in mason tending including erecting and dismantling scaffolding, mixing mortar, cutting block or stone. Experience operating a telehandler is advantageous
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely; certification may be required based on the equipment used.
- Strong understanding of power tools and their applications in construction tasks.
