Position:
Vector Eye Centre is seeking a motivated, efficient, mature, and caring individual to fill the role of ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT/RECEPTIONIST. The Administrative Assistant/Receptionist performs various administrative duties, schedules patient appointments, and fields phone calls.
Responsibilities:
- Scheduling patient appointments accurately in our electronic medical records system (EMR)
- Answering phone calls promptly and politely, assisting with patient inquiries, and referring callers to appropriate person or area as needed
- Collecting, accessing, and filing confidential patient information and test results in EMR
- Maintaining a clean and organized front desk workspace and waiting room
- Triaging new referrals in a timely and precise manner
- Additional duties as needed under the direction of the Clinic Manager
Qualifications:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in medical office setting required. Preference will be given to candidates with Medical Office Assistant certification.

- Work in a team environment and treat fellow employees with respect and congeniality
- Ability to self-motivate and take initiative, think critically and decisively while working with minimal to no supervision
- Willing to learn and adapt to new programs and equipment, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Experience with Accuro EMR system is beneficial but not required
This is a temporary full-time position, maximum 18 months (40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, flexible work availability of 7 am to 5 pm required). Salary starting at $21 per hour, standard benefits package included. Applicant may be eligible for an annual wage increase and/or annual bonus based on performance.
