Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable Part-time student, or adult farmhand to assist with daily poultry farm operations and maintenance. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with farm machinery and supporting the overall health and productivity of the farm. The ideal candidate is hardworking, eager to learn, and capable of performing physical tasks in an outdoor environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain various farm machinery and equipment
- Support livestock care
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the farm grounds, including grass cutting
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
- Prior experience or knowledge of farm machinery is a plus but not necessary
- Ability to perform lifting and physical tasks regularly
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn new skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge is desirable but not mandatory
- Must be at least 16 years old or older to ensure safety compliance on the farm
This position provides valuable practical experience in agricultural operations and supports the efficient running of farm activities. Mostly working weekdays but some weekend days may be required.
Pay: $17.00-$19.60 per hour
