Our client in the appliances industry is looking to add a Junior Manufacturing Engineering Technologist to support their Manufacturing Engineering team on a 3-month contract basis, with an outlook of conversion to a full-time permanent role. Responsibilities:
- Support the identification and implementation of new manufacturing processes
- Verify equipment capacities
- Gather process data and report it to internal SMEs
- Support testing and validation activities
- Troubleshoot process issues and develop solutions
- Develop SOPs, manufacturing records, and BOMs
- Support improvement projects and root cause investigations
- Provide technical support to production team
- Evaluate effectiveness of workstations, and drive ergonomic and efficiency improvements
- Maintain plant layouts and produce technical drawings
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience as a Design Engineer (incl. co-op/internship experience)
- Postsecondary education in an engineering-related discipline
- Experience using with ERP and PLM software
