Overview
Join our vibrant summer camp team as a Camp Counselor, where you'll play a vital role in creating a fun, safe, and educational environment for children. Duties
- Supervise and engage children in a variety of recreational and educational activities designed to promote learning and social skills
- Lead group games, arts and crafts, sports, and other camp activities to ensure participant enjoyment and safety
- Provide guidance and support to children, fostering a positive and inclusive environment
- Assist with daily camp routines such as meal times, rest periods, and transitions between activities
- Monitor children’s behavior and address any issues promptly and appropriately
- Ensure the safety of all campers by adhering to safety protocols and supervising activities at all times
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and other stakeholders regarding camper progress or concerns
- Support the planning and execution of special events or themed activities during the camp session
Qualifications
- Experience working with children through tutoring, teaching, or early childhood education programs is highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children of diverse backgrounds
- Responsible, energetic, and able to maintain a positive attitude in dynamic environments
- Ability to lead activities safely while encouraging participation from all campers
- Prior experience in supervising or mentoring children is preferred but not required
- Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to creating an enjoyable camp experience for all participants
