We are seeking an exceptional CNC Programmer/Operator to join our established Mill-Turn team at our south Edmonton facility. If you possess a versatile skillset in Lathe and/or 3, 4, 5-axis Mill programming and have a strong sense of pride and dedication to your work, we would love to hear from you.

Your responsibilities:
The core focus of our work revolves around the set-up and operation of two Mazak Integrex machines (E-500 and I-400). We primarily work with alloy steels, building components for our own in-house product lines. We use Mastercam 2022, Autodesk InventorCAM 2022 as well as Mazatrol (SmoothX) and Cimco for our in-shop programming.
As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in creating, validating, and running new part programs and processes, ensuring their accuracy, functionality, and repeatability. You would also share the responsibility for the care and maintenance of the machines, including general troubleshooting. While our primary focus is on mill-turn machines, we foster a collaborative environment where we actively assist, train, and support our fellow team members and other departments.
Your qualifications:
- Minimum five (5) years experience.
- Proficiency in Master Cam.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Journeyman trade designation and/or equivalent manufacturing experience.
- Strong technical and computer skills.
- Strong understanding of machine shop practices.
- Ability to work full-time, with very frequent overtime.
- Excellent mathematical skills to solve complex problems.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented.
- Proficient in reading and speaking English.
- Comfortable working exceedingly challenging applications to successful outcomes.
The following are considered an asset:
- Higher level and/or continuing education and/or industry certificates.
- Proficient with Autodesk Inventor or similar CAD software.
- Examples of applications you have implemented.
- Proficient with G-Code, Mazatrol and/or other programming environments and languages.
- Macro-B editing experience.
- Renishaw probe programming and operation.
- Mill-turn or equivalent experience.
- CAM programming (Mastercam or similar).
- Knowledge of Lean and 5S practices.
- Advanced knowledge of and adherence to industry safety practices.
