We are looking for a dependable and hands-on Counter Sales and Distribution Warehouse Coordinator to support our industrial distribution branch. This role combines counter sales, customer service, and warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving. You will work directly with walk-in customers, couriers, and internal teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Counter & Customer Service
- Serve walk-in customers at the counter with order entry, pickup, and product inquiries
- Assist customers with basic product selection and availability
- Handle cash, debit, credit, and account transactions
- Process returns, exchanges, and pickups accurately
- Interact with customers in-person, email and phone communication
- Communicate clearly with customer care, sales and head office warehouse.
- Support Customer Service Team with vacation and sick coverage
Shipping, Receiving & Warehouse
- Receive incoming deliveries from suppliers and couriers
- Inspect shipments for accuracy and damage
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for courier pickup or customer will-call
- Coordinate with courier services for pickups, deliveries, and paperwork
- Label, stock, and organize inventory in warehouse locations
- Assist with inventory counts and general warehouse organization
- Operate basic material handling equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts – certification an asset)
Qualifications
- Experience in warehouse, counter sales, or industrial distribution preferred
- Comfortable dealing with walk-in customers and courier drivers
- Basic understanding of industrial products is an asset
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic computer skills for order entry and shipping systems
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented
