Overview
We are seeking a passionate and creative Art & Craft Teacher to inspire children through engaging artistic activities. This role involves guiding students in developing their artistic skills, fostering creativity, and providing a supportive learning environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a strong background in arts and crafts, along with a nurturing attitude to encourage young learners’ growth and confidence.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate art and craft lessons that align with educational goals
- Foster creativity and self-expression among students through various art projects
- Supervise students during activities, ensuring a safe and positive environment
- Assist students with techniques, tools, and materials used in arts and crafts
- Incorporate educational themes into art activities to enhance learning experiences
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom, including art supplies and materials
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and achievements
Skills
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching art to children
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage young learners
- Working knowledge of early childhood education principles
- Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and skill levels
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop innovative lesson plans
- Basic cooking skills are a plus, especially for integrating culinary arts into lessons
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and connect with students
