Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, managing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area. Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred, along with strong time management and multitasking skills. The bartender will play a key role in enhancing the overall hospitality experience for our patrons.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately according to recipes and customer preferences
- Use POS systems such as Micros POS for order entry and cashiering functions
- Take orders from customers, serve drinks promptly, and ensure guest satisfaction
- Handle cash transactions with accuracy, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including cleaning glasses, utensils, and work surfaces
- Ensure compliance with food safety and food handling regulations at all times
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible drinking and adherence to alcohol service policies
- Restock bar supplies as needed and assist with inventory management
- Engage with guests in a friendly manner to foster a welcoming environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in restaurant or food industry settings preferred; hospitality experience is a plus
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent time management skills to manage busy periods effectively
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and measuring ingredients
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to serve alcohol responsibly while adhering to legal requirements
- Good communication skills and a personable attitude
- Must be 21 years or older (if applicable by local laws)
