Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Foreman, Finishing Equipment Operator to lead a grading, and gravel placement project . The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction experience, and proficiency with various heavy machinery including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, . This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining high standards of quality throughout the project lifecycle.
Must have experience with finish grading, subgrade preperation ,geotextile and granular base and compaction
Must have a good understanding or survey and grades
Duties
- Lead and supervise construction crews to ensure project milestones are met efficiently and safely
- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and paving machinery with precision
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed on-site, including proper use of personal protective equipment
- Maintain detailed documentation of work progress and equipment usage
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators (including Caterpillar models), dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and paving equipment
- Strong construction background with knowledge of , grading, subgrade prep and granular placementand s
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
- Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining safety standards
- Knowledge of construction safety regulations and practices
- Prior supervisory or foreman experience is highly desirable
