Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Support children during daily routines such as snack time, naptime, and outdoor play, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Engage children in educational games, storytelling, and hands-on learning experiences to stimulate curiosity and learning.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages independence and exploration.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to foster a collaborative and supportive atmosphere.
- Observe and document children’s progress, sharing insights with teachers and parents to support individualized learning plans.
- Assist with classroom management strategies that promote positive behavior and inclusivity for all children, including those with disabilities.
Requirements
- Prior classroom experience working with young children in early childhood education settings is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and age-specific teaching strategies.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills to help maintain an engaging and orderly classroom environment.
- Passion for teaching and supporting the growth of young learners through creative and nurturing approaches.
- Basic understanding of math concepts suitable for early childhood education is desirable.
