Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Food Counter Attendant to join our vibrant food service team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble food items quickly and accurately according to established recipes and standards
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Serve customers with a friendly attitude, answer questions about menu items, and promote upselling opportunities to increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, including food handling, bussing tables, and cleaning equipment
- Manage food inventory levels, restock supplies as needed, and ensure proper food safety practices are followed
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as slicing, assembling, or packaging items in a quick service or fast food restaurant setting
- Handle cash transactions accurately, perform basic math calculations for change, and record sales efficiently
- Support team members during busy periods by multitasking between serving customers, preparing orders, and maintaining a tidy workspace
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation or food service environments; prior restaurant experience is highly valued
- Strong customer service skills with an energetic approach to engaging guests and promoting products
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience with bussing tables or supporting kitchen operations in quick service or fast food restaurants is preferred
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and serve customers efficiently
