Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Welder to join our manufacturing team.
This role involves performing precise welding and fabrication tasks to produce high-quality components and assemblies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding, mechanical knowledge, and experience with various fabrication tools and techniques. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on manufacturing of high end consumer goods where perfection and precision is key. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on various materials, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
- Operate plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and hand tools for shaping and assembling metal components
- Use calipers, hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment to measure, cut, and assemble parts accurately
- Rigging components for lifting using cranes or forklifts while adhering to safety protocols
- Conduct welding on fine finish mild steel items, structural steel, or other metal assemblies as specified in project plans
- Assist with assembly processes, including fitting parts according to schematics and blueprints
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety guidelines at all times
Skills
- Proficiency in MIG and perhaps future TIG welding techniques with demonstrated experience in fabrication environments
- Mechanical knowledge related to assembly, machining, and construction processes
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Experience operating plasma cutters, press brake machines, forklifts, cranes, and power tools
- Familiarity with rigging procedures for lifting heavy materials safely using cranes or forklifts
- Knowledge of calipers, hand tools, basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Understanding of manufacturing standards related to ductwork and structural fabrication
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
