BAAC Construction Inc. is hiring an experienced HDD Driller to support fibre optic and underground utility projects across Calgary and surrounding areas.
We are looking for a motivated operator who can safely and efficiently run HDD equipment in residential, commercial, and urban environments. This role focuses primarily on drilling operations, production, and crew coordination.
- Operate HDD drilling equipment for fibre optic and underground utility installations
- Complete bores safely and accurately in residential and urban environments
- Read drill profiles and construction drawings
- Coordinate with locators and ground crews during drilling operations
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Support site setup, safety procedures, and production goals
- Work alongside labourers, operators, and supervisors to complete projects efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Minimum 2-3 years of HDD drilling experience
- Experience drilling fibre optic or underground utility projects
- Ability to work safely around existing utilities
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Ability to tow trailers and equipment is considered an asset
- Ground Disturbance Level II preferred
