Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Shipping Specialist to join our warehouse team. This role is vital in ensuring the accurate and timely movement of goods, supporting efficient warehouse operations, and maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing & packaging goods for shipping, order fulfillment, and ideally palletizing larger parts for processing, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency. Prior experience shipping and packaging is preferred
Responsibilities
- Load and unload shipments using forklifts
- Manage incoming shipments by inspecting, verifying, and documenting received goods
- Prepare outgoing shipments by accurately picking orders and ensuring proper packaging
- Operate software such as EZ QC to track orders and shipment details
- Use a company issued cell phone to assign orders, upload photos and complete shipments in the software
- Read and write English
- Assist in inventory management through regular cycle counts and stock reconciliation
- Ensure compliance with safety standards during all loading, unloading, and storage activities
Skills
- Proven experience in shipping & receiving, or related roles
- Goal-driven, willing to go the extra mile to meet departmental and organiziational goals
- Experience operating forklifts is an asset, but employer is willing to train
- Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes and order fulfillment procedures is a an asset
- Familiarity with packaging standards for shipping various products
- Proven organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and inventory control
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 40 pounds as needed
- Proven success with following direction and execution, as well as meeting goals on a consistent basis
- Team player, with a positive attitude
- Willingness to cross train within the department
Pay: $17.00-$25.00 per hour
