Job Summary
Task Concrete Cutting & Construction is a specialty concrete subcontractor delivering complex concrete scopes on industrial and commercial projects across Alberta. With service offerings spanning complete concrete flatworks, above and below-grade structural and infrastructure services, and a fully developed saw-cutting, coring, demolition, and removal division — we are a team that does serious work on serious projects.
Role Overview
We are hiring Concrete Finishers for an industrial concrete project at a major energy facility in the Lloydminster area — industrial slabs and structural flatwork where quality and precision are non-negotiable. We are prioritizing local talent from Lloydminster and the surrounding region. If you can trowel to spec, work to grade, and hold your own on a busy pour site, we want to hear from you.
This is a project-based position with strong potential to extend or become permanent based on performance and fit.
Responsibilities
- Place, spread, screed, and finish concrete flatwork to specified tolerances
- Power trowel and hand finish to Class A standards as required
- Set and check grade pegs; work to control elevations
- Install control joints and perform post-pour curing procedures
- Work effectively on an industrial pour site
Requirements
- Journeyman Concrete Finisher certification or equivalent experience (minimum 3 years on commercial or industrial projects)
- Proficiency with power trowel equipment — walk-behind and ride-on
- Valid Class 5 Non-GDL driver's licence with a clean 3-year driver's abstract
- Ability to obtain and maintain industrial site access (safety tickets, drug & alcohol testing)
- Ability to work varying schedules, including early morning pours
- Saturday availability as required by project schedule
- All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada and able to pass industrial site access requirements
Assets — Nice to Have
- Experience on large industrial slabs or high-specification flatwork
- Familiarity with CSA A23.1 flatness and levelness standards
- Experience with exposed aggregate, broom, stamp, or polished concrete finishes
- First Aid / OHSA or CSTS 2020 safety tickets
- Based in the Lloydminster / Lakeland region

- CSTS 2020 (Free, online, non-expiring ASCA course) (required)
