Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Employee to join our team in a fast-paced food service environment. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, strong time management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team setting. Previous experience would be plus.
Responsibilities
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and standards
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, including Micros POS, to process customer transactions
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests and addressing their needs promptly
- Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining cash handling protocols
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards throughout all food preparation processes
- Assist with serving food and beverages to customers, ensuring a pleasant dining experience
- Upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is preferred
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food handling practices
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Proficient in basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Familiarity with cashiering duties and experience using POS systems is a plus
- Commitment to upholding food safety standards and sanitation practices
