The Role
Join a community of math educators who are passionate about demystifying mathematics. We're looking for tutors who can meet students across the full spectrum—from Grade 3 learners building number sense to Grade 12 students tackling calculus and university preparation. This is fully remote, fully flexible, and entirely about student outcomes.
What You'll Deliver
- Custom-Built Lessons: Develop instruction that speaks to each student's unique learning style, academic level, and specific math struggles
- Breadth of Content: Teach foundational arithmetic, fractions, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, vectors, data management, and specialized topics
- Interactive Online Sessions: Conduct engaging Zoom lessons enhanced by whiteboards, graphing software, and digital manipulatives that make abstract concepts concrete
- Meaningful Feedback: Document progress systematically and provide actionable insights that guide students toward mastery and confidence
- Curriculum-Smart Teaching: Ground lessons in Ontario Curriculum expectations while customizing for individual learner pathways
Who We Need
- Subject Credentials: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related discipline
- Tutoring/Teaching Background: Solid experience instructing mathematics to diverse grade levels (Grade 3–12)
- Ontario Curriculum Familiarity: Knowledge of provincial standards and assessment approaches (highly valued)
- Camera-Ready Energy: Enthusiastic, patient teaching presence that keeps remote learners engaged and motivated
- Tech Comfort: Confident with Zoom, digital platforms, and basic troubleshooting
- Schedule Flexibility: Able to offer sessions across evenings and weekends to match student availability
