Part-Time Jewelry Sales & Customer Experience Associate
Pay: CA$20.00 to CA$25.00 per hour, based on experience
Squamish Piercing & Jewelry Co. is looking for a friendly, outgoing, and highly reliable person to join our store team.
This is a customer-facing sales role for someone who genuinely enjoys talking with people, making them feel welcome, and helping them discover jewelry they are excited about.
We are not looking for someone who simply wants to stand behind the till and wait for customers to ask for help. The right person will be warm, confident, proactive, and comfortable taking the lead in creating an engaging store experience.
The Role
You will be one of the first people customers interact with when they enter the shop. You should be comfortable starting conversations, showing customers around the store, introducing them to different jewelry options, answering questions, and making thoughtful recommendations.
Many customers may initially say they are “just browsing.” A strong member of our team knows how to remain engaged, share helpful information, and make the experience interesting without making the customer feel pressured.
When the store is quieter, you will be expected to stay productive by cleaning, organizing, restocking, improving displays, and helping with other store tasks.
Schedule
This is a part-time, in-person position.
Shifts will be scheduled based on store needs and availability.

- Detail-oriented and proud of maintaining a clean, organized space
- Able to stay productive during slower periods without constant direction
- Interested in jewelry, piercing, fashion, style, or retail sales
Previous sales experience is helpful, but personality, reliability, confidence, and attitude are equally important.
Knowledge of piercing jewelry is an asset, but it is not required. Training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and engage every customer who enters the store
- Start conversations and learn what customers are interested in
- Show customers around the shop and introduce them to relevant products
- Explain jewelry options and make thoughtful recommendations
- Help customers compare pieces and choose jewelry they are excited about
- Answer basic questions about jewelry and piercing services
- Process purchases using the point-of-sale system
- Keep display cases, counters, shelves, and customer areas clean
- Restock merchandise and maintain organized, attractive displays
- Dust, tidy, and maintain the overall presentation of the store
- Support the team with daily store tasks
- Help create a memorable, professional, and welcoming experience

This role is best suited to someone who gets energy from interacting with people, enjoys helping customers explore their options, and takes initiative throughout the day.
It may not be the right fit for someone who prefers minimal customer interaction, waits for customers to approach them, needs frequent direction, or expects to spend quiet periods sitting behind the counter or using their phone.
We are a small local business, and every member of the team has a meaningful impact on the customer experience. We are looking for someone who will treat the store with care and take pride in representing it.
