Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Carpenter to support construction projects involving concrete formwork, rough carpentry, structural installations, and plywood installation. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
What's the Job?
- Perform concrete formwork tasks to prepare, shape, and support concrete structures.
- Execute rough carpentry work, including the construction of parapets and other structural components.
- Install backing and blocking to provide structural support and reinforcement.
- Complete plywood installation for walls, floors, and other construction applications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Safely operate hand tools and power tools required for carpentry tasks.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following all site safety procedures.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure work is completed efficiently and to quality standards.
What's Needed?
- Valid Journeyperson Carpenter certification or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience as a Journeyperson Carpenter with a strong history of successful project work.
- Solid knowledge of carpentry, woodworking, fabrication, and installation techniques.
- Strong understanding of construction principles, methods, and industry best practices.
- Experience using carpentry-related hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and work in various environmental conditions.
- Strong communication skills and a professional, safety-focused attitude.
