Reporting to the Senior Manager, Farm & Commercial, the Farm & Commercial Broker is responsible for offering insurance solutions for a portfolio of farm and commercial properties across Western Canada.
What You’ll Do:
1. Attracts new business by building a sales pipeline and contacting clients provided through lead generation. This includes responding to clients’ questions and initiating new business through incoming calls, and cross-selling initiatives.
2. Provides comprehensive service to an assigned book of clients, assisting with renewals, policy changes and claims assistance, responding to phone and email inquiries, and explaining policy details and changes, all while ensuring customer expectations are met.
3. Handles all policy-related documents with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring timely delivery of renewal documents and invoices. Maintain accurate records of client interactions and completed transactions.
4. Sends policy changes to insurance companies, ensures coverage accuracy, monitors renewals, issues binders and identifies gaps in coverage as needed.
5. Creates a trusting environment that fosters new sales opportunities and retention of existing business.
6. Follows all procedures and adheres to insurance regulations and company policies.
7. Develops commercial insurance market knowledge in order to assess where a risk will fit. Stay up to date with insurance market trends, product updates and regulatory changes to provide informed advice to clients.
8. Serves as a main point of contact for clients post-sale, assisting them with claims processes and any policy changes, resolving all customer inquiries, while ensuring the customer effort is minimized.
9. Performs other duties within competence, as assigned.
Let’s Talk About You:
1. An AIC license is required.
2. A minimum of three years’ experience in commercial property and casualty, commercial auto and farm insurance.
3. Exceptional communication skills and the demonstrated ability to deal effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
4. Superior time management, project management and organizational skills to manage competing priorities.
5. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.

Salary Range: Min: $52,454 to $72,096
