Accounting Coordinator

Position Summary
The Accounting Coordinator is responsible for supporting the financial operations of Transload Logistics Corp. by ensuring accurate processing of accounting transactions, maintaining financial records, and assisting with payroll and reporting functions. This role utilizes the Axon Software transportation management system for accounting and financial processes and the Owl Time Clock system to manage employee time and attendance records.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting Duties
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Prepare and post invoices, payments, journal entries, and adjustments.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.
- Maintain accurate customer and vendor accounts.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Ensure all accounting records are complete, accurate, and filed appropriately.
- Assist with budgeting and financial analysis as required.
- Support external accountants during audits and year-end reporting.
Axon Software Responsibilities
- Enter and maintain financial data within the Axon Transportation Software system.
- Process freight billing and customer invoicing through Axon.
- Reconcile operational transactions with accounting records.
- Generate financial and operational reports using Axon.
- Maintain data accuracy and resolve discrepancies within the system.
Payroll & Time Management
- Review and approve employee time records using Owl Time Clock.
- Verify employee hours, overtime, vacation, and statutory holiday pay.
- Prepare payroll information for processing.
- Investigate and resolve timekeeping discrepancies.
- Maintain employee attendance records in compliance with company policies and employment standards.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain organized accounting and payroll files.
- Respond to vendor and customer inquiries professionally.
- Assist management with administrative projects and reporting.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Experience in the transportation or logistics industry is considered an asset.
- Experience using Axon Software is preferred.
- Experience using Owl Time Clock or similar time management software is an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Working Conditions

- Standard business hours with occasional overtime during month-end, year-end, or payroll processing periods.

Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
