Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman/Woman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. This role requires a strong knowledge of electrical codes, schematics, and commercial & residential electrical systems, including low voltage. The successful applicant will have experience working with hand tools, power tools, and construction environments, and possess excellent problem-solving skills to handle renovation and troubleshooting tasks efficiently.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to execute installations and repairs accurately.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in industrial or commercial settings, including low voltage systems and PLCs.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform wiring, conduit installation, panel assembly, and other electrical tasks.
- Assist with renovation projects by upgrading or replacing existing electrical infrastructure.
- Diagnose electrical issues using schematics and troubleshooting techniques to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople during construction or renovation projects to ensure seamless integration of electrical components.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed for compliance and future reference.
Experience
- Proven experience as an electrician with a valid journeyman license or equivalent certification.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Experience working as an industrial electrician in manufacturing or construction environments preferred.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and automation controls.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, conduit bending, wiring methods, and installation techniques.
- Background in renovation projects or remodeling work is advantageous.
- Knowledge of handyman skills related to electrical troubleshooting and minor repairs is a plus.
- Prior experience working with schematics for complex electrical systems is highly desirable.
Pay: $35.00-$42.00 per hour
