Job Summary:
We are seeking a Sheet Metal Apprentice to join our team. You will assist a experienced Sheet Metal Journeyman in the fabrication, installation, repair, and maintenance of sheet metal products and HVAC systems. This role provides hands-on training while developing the skills required to become a certified sheet metal journeyperson. Hourly rate will be based experience and training.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with measuring, cutting, bending, and assembling sheet metal components.
- Install ductwork, ventilation systems, flashing, roofing components, and other sheet metal products.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely and effectively.Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment to job sites.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work alongside journeypersons to learn industry standards, techniques, and best practices.Attend required apprenticeship training and complete assigned coursework.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with project specifications
