What you'll do
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical conditions, including injury evaluation and functional movement analysis
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and rehabilitation techniques
- Provide personal training sessions tailored to clients' fitness levels and health objectives
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMRs) documenting patient progress, treatment notes, and session details
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including case management and discharge planning
- Educate patients on injury prevention, proper exercise techniques, and lifestyle modifications
- Monitor patient response to treatments and adjust programs accordingly to optimize recovery or fitness outcomes
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and confidentiality policies
- Utilize computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for documentation, scheduling, and reporting purposes
- Stay updated on the latest developments in sports medicine, rehabilitation techniques, and fitness trends
Skills
- Proven expertise in medical terminology, acute care, and patient care within hospital or clinical settings
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities in French are considered an asset
- Proficiency with electronic medical records systems and general computer operation skills
- Excellent organizational skills, time management, and ability to handle multiple cases efficiently
- Demonstrated analysis skills for evaluating patient progress and modifying treatment plans accordingly
- Experience with medication administration as applicable within clinical practice settings
- Exceptional customer service orientation with the ability to connect effectively with diverse patient populations including pediatrics
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
