Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of menu items to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems.
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales while maintaining genuine guest engagement
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, ensuring presentation quality and adherence to food safety standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and assisting with sanitation and food handling protocols
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and address guest needs promptly
- Support guest relations by resolving concerns professionally and ensuring a positive experience in both casual and fine dining settings
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightclub settings preferred
- Proficiency with POS systems
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and order calculations
- Culinary or kitchen experience is a plus for understanding food preparation processes
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment
