Quality Assurance Assistant – Aerospace MRO
Full Time | Abbotsford, BC
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Assistant to support our Transport Canada–approved maintenance organization. This role is ideal for someone with hands‑on Aerospace MRO experience, strong communication skills, and a disciplined approach to documentation, compliance, and regulatory standards.
For the right candidate, this position offers a development pathway into a future Quality or Compliance Management role. Training will be provided to support long‑term growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Quality Manager in maintaining compliance with TCCA AMO requirements and applicable CARs regulations
- Assist with internal audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities
- Review work packages, maintenance records, and technical documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Maintain controlled documents, manuals, and quality records in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Communicate with technicians, inspectors, and management to resolve documentation or compliance issues
- Assist with supplier evaluations, certifications, and traceability verification
- Track, document, and follow up on NCRs, SDRs, and other quality‑related reports
- Support updates to QA procedures, forms, and manuals
- Maintain an organized, compliant QA workspace
- Participate in ongoing training and development toward future leadership responsibilities
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in an Aerospace MRO environment is a must‑have
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Knowledge of TCCA AMO requirements and CARs regulations (asset)
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to interpret technical documents, maintenance records, and regulatory references
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
- Experience with document control systems or QA software (asset)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross‑functional teams
- Professional, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards of safety and compliance
- Interest in developing toward a future QA or Compliance Management role
