Hemingway's Duty Manager

The Duty Manager’s responsibility is to manage the restaurant during their shift and to support the team and the GM with the day to day tasks as well as participate in larger projects that are delegated to them. They are expected to not only participate in the events and incentives, they support the rest of the managers with the planning, communication, and execution of the events. The manager is a resourceful leader who will motivate and drive the success of the events and incentives at Hemingway’s.
Their focus while on the floor should be the customer and delivering excellent service and driving revenue opportunities. They will spend time building customer relationships and repairing customer’s trust by handling any service issues and interactions with empathy, friendliness, speed, and professionalism. Leading by example, the Duty Manager will encourage superior service delivery from the staff and ensure that care and consideration is given to each customer.
What you will do:
- Open the restaurant for business
- Manage the floor
- Participate and support events and incentives
- Close the restaurant
- Perform administrative duties
- Train new employees

What you bring to the role:
- 2-4 years of experience as a bartender or server
- 1+ years of experience in a supervisory role
- Available days, nights, weekends, holidays
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Great communication skills
- You are proactive
- You are a problem solver
- Be legal age to serve alcohol
- Smart Serve Certification
